Maggie is a teacher, storyteller, and nonprofit professional, committed to building more equity and accessibility for refugee and immigrant communities. In May 2021, she graduated with a master’s degree in International Studies and a specialization in Nonprofit Management from North Carolina State University. She is a metro-Atlanta native and holds bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Journalism from the University of Georgia. From 2017-2018, Maggie completed a nine-month Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship grant in Madrid, Spain. With three years of experience teaching abroad—both in Chile and Spain—she uses her cultural awareness and communication skills to serve youth from diverse backgrounds and engage in spaces actively pursuing social justice.
